Many middle schools are confronted by persistent concern about their role and function. Demands for greater accountability and higher student achievement have led many schools to reexamine their programs. Building on the presenters’ NASSP publication, Through the Looking Glass: The Future of Middle Level Education, this session will examine the current state of middle level education and offer participants specific strategies for strengthening their program in a way that builds community support and confidence.
