144. What Happens When They Leave High School: The Need For Secondary/Postsecondary Collaboration
Category: Ties to Higher Education
Time: Saturday, March 10, 3:00pm-4:30pm
Room: Rooms 11 & 12
Recent transition studies have focused on student transition from middle school to high school and have recommended that educators collaborate to ensure student success. High school educator’s need for collaboration with other educators does not end when students complete ninth grade; rather, collaboration with higher education personnel is equally important to ensure a smooth transition to postsecondary education. With more students continuing their education beyond high school, the need for dialogue becomes imperative.
