Students in larger secondary schools need to find a place where they can reach their full potential. This session will give participants the opportunity to explore four ways to personalize the learning environment in their schools. Topics will include the LAFF program designed to assist ninth grade students and newcomers with their transition to high schools. Other breakout discussions will present creative ideas, including advisor-advisee plans, cocurricular activities, and ways to use alternative scheduling and schools-within-schools to personalize the large secondary environment.
