All eyes are on middle schools, and Barren County Middle School answers the doldrums of school reform with four dimensions for high-performing middle schools offered by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform. A thorough explanation of Different Ways of Knowing (DWoK), looping, a 21st Century Community Learning Center, and decision making based on teacher reflection on student work will provide a plethora of ideas for middle schools looking to walk down the road to reform.
