Nationally known consultant, author, and award-winning middle level and high school principal Dave Hottenstein will present a variety of useful and interesting information about the future of online professional development. Hottenstein will discuss what it is, how it works, and the technology components needed to make this emerging trend a successful part of teacher and principal training. In addition, Hottenstein will give principals a variety of implementation models they can use to deliver online programs. He will also show principals and teachers how to use database information and resource banks provided online to help middle schools and high schools develop a site-based assessment template using Breaking Ranks: Changing an American Institution as a guide. Lastly, the session will bring participants a preview of future programs that will be available to benefit today's school leaders.
