This session is designed to inform the audience about the developmental stages of building a well-connected, school-based community center that effectively: integrates the resources of the community with educational institutions; develops a seamless system of in-school support including the integration of after-school programs; supports the drug-free schools initiatives; increases the level of parental involvement and extends its services to parents, senior citizens, and other adult community members. Participants will leave the session with practical ideas for building respectful, collaborative relationships that are empowering to each partner.
