The session will focus on training staff members and students in a program that helped raise reading and writing scores in an inner city school with a 94 percent Hispanic population that is limited English speaking. Details of the program, the implement process statistics, and the school’s assistance program will be shared. Strategies to overcome staff resistance will be provided. Data collection will be reviewed and shared to help others who may have similar reading problems in their schools.
