Do students get a diploma or earn a diploma? In answering this question, the presenter will provide the history of an alive and kicking middle school/high school transition program. Attendees will be taken through the steps of identifying promotion standards, creating an exit/entrance interview process, building high school buy-in, and other essential steps for developing an effective middle-to-high-school transition program as an alternative to retention.
