306. Peer Educator Programs—Tapping Into an Unused Resource
Category: Leadership/Governance
Time: Monday, March 12, 7:30am-9:00am
Room: Rooms 16–18
One of the most unused resources in our schools is our students. Hear how the University of Illinois Laboratory High School developed three peer educator programs that have significantly affected student life at this high school: Peer College Counselors, Subbie Buddies, and Teen Awareness Committee. These programs seek to develop the talents of selected students while allowing them to serve the school and their peers in leadership positions.
