302. Can We Ever Know Enough About School Safety and Security?

Category: School Environment
Time: Monday, March 12, 7:30am-9:00am
Room: Rooms 6 & 7

Can we ever know enough about safety and security? Are you concerned with the increasing number of violent incidents on school grounds? This session will look at what we have learned from these violent incidents from around the nation and what changes may still be needed. You will be exposed to strategies gleaned from school systems around the nation and you’ll learn some valuable strategies being employed by other administrators in response to increased incidents of vandalism, physical and verbal assaults, hostile intruders, weapons in the building, and increased gang activity. If you are interested in some ideas to improve or enhance your school safety and security plan, this is a session you should not miss.
