IDEA '97 makes it clear: Middle schools and high schools must be prepared to find ways to help all students work toward demanding standards in content areas previously considered to be the purview of college-bound students only. The speakers will present an overview of the research related to how students with disabilities can fully participate in and benefit from standards-driven reform. The speakers will also present specific, proven strategies for providing accommodations and tailoring instruction to meet the demands of the subject matter and the needs of individual students with disabilities.
