Are you willing to stand tall? To stand up for what you believe? To be outstanding? In a society that still expects women to be dainty, delicate, decorative, and deferential, it takes courage for women to lead without ambivalence or apology. In this inspirational, informative, and humorous presentation, six-foot-two-inch Mariah Burton Nelson uses sport stories, secondary school memories, and personal insights to challenge school administrators (of both sexes) to be courageous and compassionate leaders. She also offers seven original leadership lessons from the playing fields, from "Define victory for yourself" to "Ask for help" to "Raise the roof!"
