High-stakes tests are being used in public education as a result of a call for accountability. Despite this current popularity, school principals may not have an understanding of the legal considerations in using the tests. This presentation will educate regarding the legal issues of high-stakes testing from adoption and notice of the test to special considerations for minorities, LEP students, and students with disabilities.
