137. Using Data and Technology for Decision Making: The Illinois Gates Project

Category: Technology
Time: Saturday, March 2, 3:00pm-4:30pm
Room: Room 216

Hosted by Illinois Principals Association

Daring to make a difference in teaching, learning, and student achievement, the Illinois Technology and Leadership for Change (ITLC) has connected the national Interstate School Leaders Licensure (ISLLC) standards to the Baldrige Core Values and Categories to provide a workable, meaningful framework for data-driven decision making centered in school improvement. Through technology applications and data-driven simulations, school leaders learn not only how to manage change, but also how to lead systems-based, focused instructional leadership change. Participants will leave with a tool box of both hard and soft data strategies for not only themselves as leaders but also for their school building and district. Come learn how it is really about leadership that will enable administrators to achieve what they value, want, and need in this world of high stakes testing and accountability.
