What challenges do school principals face in addressing special education and IDEA '97? This session will focus on the major issues identified by NASSP members, including recruitment, assessment, and evaluation; IEPs; and behavior and discipline. Participants will also learn about the successful Resident Practitioner Program at NASSP as well as NASSP's involvement in the IDEA Local Implementation by Local Administrators (ILIAD Partnership) funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
