324. Y-Care About Student Programs?

Category: Organization & Time
Time: Monday, March 4, 9:30am-11:00am
Room: Room 312

Hosted by the Indiana Association of School Principals

With education reform focused on accountability and student achievement, educational leaders must focus on the importance of a well-rounded education. That education includes cocurricular programs and, for some students, sets the course for the curricular success or lack thereof. With this impetus, the Indiana Association of School Principals' Department of Student Activities (DSA) has restructured its programs and begun transition for its role in the 21st Century school.

DSA serves as a resource in developing learning communities from a cocurricular perspective that will integrate with the curricula of every school. Doing so will be key to affecting school culture. Y-Care Indiana, a new program initiative, offers a vehicle for the DSA vision of making a difference for each child.

Presenter(s) for this Session:

Michelle Thompson
Director, Department of Student Activities
