113. Teacher Appraisal: Using Technology to Reinforce Performance Based Models

Category: Assessing Learning for Accountability
Time: Saturday, February 28, 11:00am-12:30pm
Room: 224-F

Have you considered implementing a performance based teacher appraisal model? Are you currently implementing this type of system and need ideas to improve or make it more effective? Would you like to use your PDA to observe teachers? First the presenter will share a school district’s teacher appraisal model based on the philosophy of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching. Then, the session will focus on technological applications and resources that support a performance, rubric-based appraisal system. This will include how the use of PDAs, laptops and available software will enhance this process and also save you time. l
