111. Raising Standards in the Six Year Plan

Category: Challenging Every Student
Time: Saturday, February 28, 11:00am-12:30pm
Room: 224-D

Despite a high poverty level and an increasing immigrant population at David Douglas High School, the percent of students going on to post-secondary education has nearly doubled in the past 10 years. This success is the result of raising graduation standards and enrolling all students in programs such as career pathways, mentoring, career exploration, and smaller learning communities. Participants will learn ways to implement these strategies in any high school.
